A health and fitness program

To ensure that you have a good health and fitness program you need to consider a few key elements to include.
Prolonging life and promoting health through the organised efforts and informed choices The dimensions of health can encompass "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity"

Where do you start I hear you ask??
Well the first stage is to look at the hear and now.
What can you do for exercise now and very important what do you eat now.
Once you know this you can then plan your health and fitness program and set you goals.
Looking into are diets can, and will surprise us and sometimes we need to fix our diets before hitting the Gym.
Lets start with diet, you need to plan to eat good quality food low in fat but good in vitamins, nutrients and protein. One suggestion for this is is homecooked food. You know whats in it, and can use the best fresh ingredients. Homecooked bread, cakes and meals will all be better for you than the unhealthy supermarket food thats out there.(cakes was put in there for the sweet tooths out there like me)and cooking more will help you check your eating the right food.
There are many online, offline resources to help you plan this.
Next lets start with exercise, plan what you know you can achieve to keep it simple.
As you achieve this plan and gain fitness add more staminer exercises.
Again you can find resources out there to help you make you plan.
Finally make a master plan you can achieve, set goals and stick to them.
With a plan for a diet and excercise program designed by you, achieveing fitness will be easier.
Everyone is different so keeping fit is down to you
Good Luck

Meditation - Three Fascinating Benefits For Your Wellbeing

As you sit there and read every word or this article you will be amazed at what you will learn about mediation and the fascinating benefits it has on your well being. Meditation has plenty of benefits but it is especially beneficial to your well being. This article is going to show you some of these benefits. It will be looking at the effect of meditation on the decrease in the stress hormone, decreased cigarette, alcohol and drug abuse, and improved perception and memory.
Stress of any kind is detrimental to your health. Plasma cortisol is a stress hormone that builds up over time because we under normal circumstances have no way of getting rid of. In prehistoric times we got stressed when we were chased by a predator. The hormone made it easier for us to escape and as we ran from danger we got to utilise the hormone and it did not stay in our bodies for longer than necessary. In our high flying world today we get stressed but the hormones stay with us because we have no release in escape. The hormone can cause us to put on weight, go into depression and generally not be able to function very well. Studies have shown that plasma cortisol decreased during meditation, whereas it did not seem to change significantly in controlled subjects during ordinary relaxation. Another study following managers and employees for 3 months who regularly practice meditation showed that meditation practitioners displayed more relaxed physiological functioning. Greater reduction in anxiety, and reduced tension on the job, when compared to the control group. Meditation seems to definitely help reduce stress and help you relax.
Further to improving well being meditation seems to have an effect in cutting down on the use of abusive substances. A statistical meta-analysis of 198 independent treatment outcomes found that meditation produced a significantly larger reduction in tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs use that standard substance abuse treatments (e.g. counselling, pharmacological treatments) or prevention programs (e.g.programs to counteract peer-pressure and promote personal development). The conventional programs had effects showing decreases by three months. The effects of meditation on total abstinence from tobacco, alcohol and illicit drugs ranges from 50% to 89% over an 18 to 22 month period of study.
The third area where well being is bettered by meditation is the improved perception and memory of people. In a study some college students were instructed in meditation and they displayed significant improvements in performance over a two-week period on a perceptual and short term memory test which involved the identification of a familiar letter sequences presented rapidly. They were compared with subjects randomly assigned to a routine of twice-daily rest with eyes closed, and with subjects who made no change in their daily routine.
Three different areas that can improve with the practice of meditation.Your health, through break down of the stress hormone, less addiction to abusive substances and improved memory and perception. Imagine what other benefits you can get from practicing meditation.

Find The Best Way To Get Yourself In Shape With Home Workouts Reviews

At some point in a person's life, she takes one look at the mirror and realizes that her clothes are not looking or feeling right; she climbs a few flights of stairs up her office building because the elevator has broken down and she finds herself panting from the exertion; she notices all kinds of aches and pains at the end of another long week spent working at a desk with hardly a break to stand up and walk around for a while. Feeling heavy, sluggish, and bloated has become normal for most days.
If you have had similar experiences, then you're not alone. The majority of men and women experience dissatisfaction with their body weight and physical appearance at different points throughout their lives. This unhealthy state is often brought about by a busy lifestyle with poor eating habits, little physical activity, and a "what's the point?" mind-set that prevents people from taking steps to change their routines, become more aware of the state of their health, and maintain healthy practices for the long term. While some individuals may become instantly motivated to sign up for a gym membership the minute they realize the severity of their situation, others are hesitant to work out with other people, knowing that their bodies aren't as attractive as they would like them to be. For people with these concerns, working out at home may be the easiest solution, and they can find the best routine to try by looking up home workouts reviews from trusted resources online.
While working out at home may not give a person access to the best machines and equipment that professional trainers use to help people get back in shape, there are plenty of exercises that can be done at home that would require simple and inexpensive tools like jump ropes, free weights, and resistance bands. A person would just need to set aside a workable schedule and enough space at home where the workout can be performed. But before purchasing any workout props, it's a good idea to go online and search for the best at-home workout to fit her specific fitness situation.
Do you want to boost your metabolism and safely lose as much body fat as you can over a prescribed period of time, like in a month? Are you specifically seeking to improve your strength and cardiovascular abilities? Is toning your rear end and thighs your priority, or is it getting a chiseled stomach? Many home-based workouts target specific areas of the body or fitness purposes, and it would be quite expected to read about each one being the best routine there is. The key to finding an appropriate workout for your purposes, then, is to look for review sites where people who have tried the workout for themselves offer their insight on a workout's effectiveness. That way, you can hear reviews from real people who have gotten real results and can provide realistic expectations and feedback on the product.
Whether you plan to lose a specific number of pounds and inches off your waist or wish to develop your strength, flexibility, or cardio, at-home workouts can be just as effective as gym workouts as long as you stay motivated and faithful to the prescribed fitness routine. Thanks to real people who have tried and tested a variety of workouts and shared their experiences and opinions online, others can be motivated to get started and achieve the same results for their own overall well-being as well.

Reviews from real people who have had real results are one of the most effective means of checking out how efficient a certain technique or product really is.
